What’s New in GHOST Vegan V2?

We’re breaking down the new and improved GHOST Vegan V2, what’s new, what’s been added, and what’s been taken away.

GHOST have been a big hitter in the protein powder world for a while now, and their range has always been pretty impressive. Especially since they added a protein powder specifically with vegans in mind.

Well now they’ve gone and taken things to another level with GHOST Vegan V2.

That’s right. They’ve listened to the feedback from all the vegan fans out there and fiddled with the formula to make it the best yet.

So let’s take a look at what’s new in V2.

GHOST Vegan V2

So what have they actually changed? Well first, and most importantly, they’ve upped the protein content in GHOST Vegan.

The original GHOST Vegan formula came in at a still very respectable 20g of protein per scoop. But with GHOST Vegan V2, you’re looking at an impressive 25g per serving.

Now, it’s worth knowing that some of that jump comes from the fact that the scoop size has been boosted from 35g to 40g. Which means the calories per scoop have gone up too, by roughly 30 calories.

For most people, that’s not going to be a dealbreaker, especially when you’re getting more protein in return, but it’s still useful to know if you’re tracking your macros closely.

And beyond the numbers, GHOST Vegan V2 is also being positioned as a cleaner, better protein powder overall. The formula’s been tweaked with the goal of making it smoother, easier to drink, and even more effective in helping you hit your protein target every day.

What’s been changed in the blend?

So let’s get into the changes GHOST have made to the formula.

With V1, the GHOST Vegan blend included pea protein, watermelon seed protein, and pumpkin seed protein. With V2, they’ve stripped it back to just pea protein and pumpkin seed protein.

Why is this a good thing? Well a lot of it comes down to texture, because watermelon seed protein can have a bit of grit to it that’s not all that enjoyable in a shake.

And this particular ingredient wasn’t really adding anything meaningful to the mix. With the new blend of just pea protein and pumpkin seed protein you’re still getting a complete amino acid profile, just in a smoother, cleaner shake.

Upgraded flavors

It’s not just the formula that’s been upgraded, it’s the flavors too.

The range includes Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cinnabon, Chocolate Cereal Milk, and Peanut Butter Cereal Milk.

And Chocolate Chip Cookies is a great example of how they’ve taken taste to the next level. In the new version, it’s got an upgraded milk and cookies flavor, brand new gluten-free cookie pieces, and it’s free of leading allergens too.

So is GHOST Vegan V2 actually worth it?

If you liked the original GHOST Vegan, V2 is basically a more dialed in version of what you already enjoyed. You get more protein per serving, a tweaked blend that should feel smoother, and upgraded flavors that you’ll genuinely look forward to.

If you tried GHOST Vegan before and you liked the taste but didn’t love the texture, GHOST Vegan V2 is the version that’s most likely to win you back. And if you’re brand new to GHOST Vegan and you want a plant based protein that actually hits the spot, V2 could be what you’ve been looking for.
