The year is 2023, and Ryan Garcia is still going viral for flexing his lighting-quick hand speed.
Aptly nicknamed The Flash, Garcia uploaded the footage of him unleashing deadly combos on a cobra bag to his Twitter account with the caption, “Too easy.”
The 24-year-old looked razor-sharp as he slipped the bag with ease, even breaking focus on the last few punches to share a cheesy grin with the camera.
King Ryan, as he’s otherwise known, is widely regarded as one of the quickest and most deadly punchers in professional boxing‘s lighter divisions.
He currently boasts a record of 23-0, 19 of those wins coming by way of knockout, and soon looks set to finalise a deal with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis to set up a mega-fight.
The pair have been trading trash talk for some time, but recent reports have suggested they’re now close to finally trading blows.
Various outlets have claimed that both camps have ironed out complications over a rematch clause and are now close to shaking hands on terms and signing the contracts.
However, Garcia’s manager, former world champion turned boxing promotor, Oscar De La Hoya, said while he remains committed to making the fight happen, there are still “a couple of points with strings attached”.
Either way, if Garcia’s video is anything to go by he looks more than ready for whoever his next test may be.
