Opening Date Revealed for Gymshark Bond Street Flagship

What New Yorkers can expect from the new Gymshark Bond Street flagship

The Big Apple’s about to get even bigger, as Gymshark has revealed the opening date for its inaugural flagship store in the United States.

Plans for Gymshark Bond Street were announced several months ago, and the gymwear giant has been sharing updates on its progress ever since.

The latest of those developments is perhaps the most important yet.

On Saturday, 13 December, Gymshark Bond Street will officially throw open its doors and welcome fitness-loving New Yorkers.

“Two things have always defined Gymshark: the gym, and the community,” said Mitch Healey, Gymshark’s retail and wholesale director for North America.

“No city in the world celebrates community quite like New York, and we wanted this flagship to reflect that.

“We’ve done a lot of cool stuff in this city, but honestly, it’s all been leading to this.”

Spanning three stories and 13,000 sq ft, Gymshark Bond Street will be the brand’s biggest stake in American soil to date.

It features several clever nods to New York’s rich heritage, including a Liberty Green color scheme, subway-inspired registers, and a specially crafted “pizza weight plate” for the perfect photo opportunities.

Exclusive NYC-inspired merch will be sold from bespoke bodegas, adding yet another touch of familiarity to the shopping experience.

Gymshark is also bringing its own unique energy, with mannequins 3D-printed from real members of its communities and sponsored athletes.

Plenty more will be on offer, such as 1:1 personal shopping, events, and meet-and-greets.

The latter will take place on the dedicated community floor, which will further provide space for talks, live podcasts, and more.

Gymshark Bond Street marks another major milestone in the fitness heavyweight’s journey.

Over the past 18 months, Gymshark has opened a US HQ in SoHo, brought 7,500 people together for an iconic Lift:NY activation, and launched its first permanent US store in Long Island.

Beyond American borders, the inimitable apparel brand has been busy opening locations in Manchester, Amsterdam, and a second base in Dubai.

It’s all part of Gymshark’s mission to establish an omnichannel presence, giving fans IRL shopping experiences while providing spaces for brand connection to thrive.
