Australian actor and bodybuilder Calum Von Moger has released his first vlog since his suicide attempt last year.
After a tough few years where he dealt with a bicep tear and then a knee injury as well as mental health issues and personal news that he had a child he didn’t know about, things got on top of Calum and he jumped through a 2nd storey window last May.
He sustained a lot of injuries and was in a medically induced coma for a while before starting on the slow road to recovery.
Now though he’s back in the gym, working hard, and looking like he’s on a much better path again.
Calum starts his YouTube video with a trip to Boba guys cafe to try out a Chocolate Boba tea, looking cheerful as he gives the drink a go for the first time.
Then he heads to the gym for leg day, day 2 of his current split with high intensity workouts with fewer sets and higher reps. During his workout he talks about how his brother was the one who first got him into weightlifting, after taking him along with him to the gym and talking him through all the different moves and machines.
Throughout the video Calum looks in really good spirits, laughing and making jokes and generally sounding super positive.
And he ends the video with his pretty poignant quote of the day:
“No matter what happens in life, it’s gonna get hard it’s gonna get easy, you’re gonna have ups and downs, but no matter what just keep walking”
