Functional Newcomer BamJam to Drop Protein-Packed Fruit Spread This Fall

BamJam Announces Nostalgic Fruit Spread With a Little More Muscle

In the quest to turn every bite into a gym-friendly fix, brands are now putting protein where you’d least expect it.

If there’s an everyday food that hasn’t had a functional makeover yet, give it five minutes — one’s sure to show up.

The latest surprise comes in the form of BamJam, a protein-packed fruit spread powered by collagen.

This intriguing new entry is the brainchild of Gen Z entrepreneur Cristian Gaggi, and it tugs firmly on nostalgic heartstrings.

“I grew up on PB&Js, but as an adult, they just weren’t cutting it,” he said. “I needed fuel, not a sugar crash.”

“So I stopped settling and decided to recreate the key component of a PB&J. BamJam turns a classic into something completely new, and it’s taken us two years to perfect.”

Launching by the close of 2025, BamJam promises clean ingredients and a trio of bold flavors: Strawberry, Grape, and Raspberry.

BamJam Fruit Spread

It’s billed as a “functional jam,” offering 8g of collagen protein per serving and zero added sugar. Collagen — the most abundant protein in the human body — is a key component of connective tissues like skin, muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments.

Gaggi says he’s had award-winning food scientists develop each recipe to still hit the taste and texture people know and love, without any tradeoffs.

The innovation will also be free from artificial food dyes and high-fructose corn syrup. Instead, quality ingredients like chia seeds and organic monk fruit add fiber and natural sweetness.

Each serving is expected to deliver between 60-90 calories and 1-3g of fiber, although we haven’t had an exact macro breakdown just yet.

Based on the calories, a moderate carb presence can be expected — especially if real fruit is in the mix.

BamJam doesn’t appear to be a product heavily geared toward the bodybuilding crowd. While it certainly ticks the protein box, a blob mascot has been chosen to lead the branding.

Gaggi says he wants it to “bridge the gap between childhood joy and grown up nutrition,” offering a better-for-you option that’s equal parts fun and healthy.

Audiences of all ages are welcome to the joyous project, and he wants to see BamJam spread, swirled, dipped, and spooned around the breakfast table.

BamJam is expected to launch direct-to-consumer this fall. The waitlist is already open on the brand’s website for those wanting to follow the journey until release day.
